The band's name was suggested by Thorsten "Havoc" Weißenberger, and is taken from J.R.R. Tolkien's "Middle-earth" lore, where Ever-eve or Evereven is a poetic name of the Aman region.

EverEve's 1999 release Regret was dedicated to the memory of bandmate Tom Sedotschenko.
