ReVamp was founded by Floor Jansen at the end of 2009, after her previous band After Forever had disbanded. The band had a hiatus between 2010 and 2011 following Jansen's health problems, and since she joined Nightwish in 2012, the release of ReVamp's second and last album, Wild Card, had to be postponed to the second half of 2013.
