Role of the Observer biography
ROLE OF THE OBSERVER is a band from Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Founding members Nick LEACH (vocals, keys, guitar), Matt BEANE (drums, keys), Tyler RHODES (vocals, guirar, keys) and Nate EPPERSON (bass) have played in various musical projects before forming the band in 2012, with a first album that has not been re-released. The band has become well known for their intricate live shows and vivid light shows.

The band has released a new album in 2013, called ''Quantum State''. Their music has some heavy undertones of TOOL, OPETH, PORCUPINE TREE and also take some lessons from the old school of progressive/psychedelic rock of PINK FLOYD, especially obvious in their first concept album. The music contains long and intricate songs that create a dark atmosphere with this combination of old psychedelic music and some new metal progressive rock. On early 2014 Max LEACH joined the group on drums. Since that, the band's sound has developed in exciting ways. The band is finishing the recording of a new album to be release in 2015.
