Harem Scarem is a Canadian hard rock band from Toronto, Ontario. Harem Scarem achieved popularity in Japan and their native Canada in the early 1990s. The band was active from 1987 to 2008 and again from 2013 after reforming. Throughout their career, they released 14 studio albums, plus numerous live and compilation albums. more

В 1999 году Harem Scarem меняет своё название на Rubber, но... только на территории Канады. Во всём остальном мире группа по прежнему остаётся под старым названием. Для чего это было сделано, по моему непонятно было даже самим участникам команды. Гесс, Лесперанс, Донахью решили кардинально сменить свой стиль, посчитав при этом необходимым сменить и название группы. Даррену Смиту, кстати, эта идея пришлась не по душе и он покинул группу, в результате чего следующий альбом Rubber "Ultra Feel" был записан уже с новым барабанщиком Крейгтоном Доном (Creighton Doane). Под этим названием ребята выпускают 2 альбома "Rubber" (1999) и "Ultra Feel" (2000), и вскоре вновь возвращаются к своему старому названию Harem Scarem. Итак слушаем новый для нас альбом Harem Scarem.
Rubber is an album by the Canadian hard rock band formerly known as Harem Scarem. The band released the album in 1999 under the name Harem Scarem in Japan, and in 2000 in Canada they released it as Rubber. After this release, drummer Darren Smith left and was replaced with Creighton Doane. The song "Sunshine" was produced and mixed by renowned Canadian producer Arnold Lanni.

Pete Lesperance is a Canadian guitarist, singer, songwriter, and producer best known as the lead guitarist for the Canadian hard rock band Harem Scarem. Lesperance was born October 13, 1968 in Scarborough, Ontario. Lesperance was a guitarist in the Oshawa metal band Minotaur before forming Harem Scarem with Blind Vengeance vocalist Harry Hess in 1987.
Lesperance's solo album, Down In It, was released in 2004 in Japan only, where Harem Scarem had their main fanbase. With fellow guitarist Mike Turner (ex-Our Lady Peace), they put together the band Fair Ground. Together they released a new version of Down In It.
Lesperance's own studio, Hope Songs, is located in Toronto, Ontario. Lesperance has produced many bands, including the rock band One Short. He is currently finishing up albums for Canadian Idol contestants Aaron Walpole and Suzi Rawn. His influences include Eddie Van Halen, Brian May, Nuno Bettencourt and Steve Vai. wiki
