Absurd является одной из наиболее известных NSBM групп в мире. Она была основана в городе Зондерхаузен Хендриком Мёбусом и Себастьяном Шаусейлом в 1992 году, позже к ним присоеденился Андреас Кирхнер. Тематика песен: национал-социализм, язычество (Хендрик Мёбус является основателем Deutsche Heidnische Front), а также антихристианство. C 1999 в составе группы произошло много изменений. Лидером является Вольф Мёбус, брат Хендрика. Из-за перемен в составе группы, музыкальный стиль был кардинально изменён. Многие люди считают, что всё, что было выпущено после альбома Werwolfthron (2001) является абсолютно другой группой.
Absurd is a German pagan black metal band, and has been classified as a "right-wing extremist" group by the Thuringian Landesbehörde für Verfassungsschutz. The band was founded in Sondershausen by Hendrik Möbus (also known as - on the circuit and later on official Compact Cassette and later CD liner notes - as Randall Flagg / Jarl Flagg Nidhögg / JFN) and Sebastian Schauseil in 1992, with a third member, Andreas Kirchner, joining at a later stage.
