a lone variant (previously known as heart) is a one-man-band created in
S.Miguel, Azores, in 2009, as a form of expression of its authors'
feelings and musical evolution. Its concept is not related to sex, is
not a cult to death nor doesn't express any political/religious views.
It is, simply, a soundtrack of admiration for the universe and life.
This project's music isn't perfect and it is far from being easily
labelled, but the feelings and stories it wants to pass are marked in
each and every note. Created by Diogo Lima in January 2009, a lone
variant can be described as an experimental variation between down-tempo
sounds influenced by Earth, Pink Floyd and some Space/Ambiental Music,
passing through some heavier sounds with influences from Mastodon to
Cult of Luna, always carrying the mark of Lo-Fi/Homemade music as a XXI
century's property.
