/ Hannes Grossmann is a drummer, writer and producer from Nuremberg, Germany. He made a name in the drumming scene as drummer for Necrophagist, Blotted Science, Obscura, Alkaloid, Hate Eternal and Triptykon. Hannes works as recording-, mixing- and mastering engineer in his own studio MORDOR SOUNDS, where he produces not only his solo work, but also bands from all around the world.
ECHOES OF ETERNITY was created to pay tribute to artists with whom Hannes Grossmann has played as a drummer and who shaped his career in an important way. 20 years after the release of Necrophagist's "Epitaph", Hannes wrote three songs to resemble that specific sound. The album's title track however is a homage to Obscura's "Omnivium" for which Hannes wrote the majority of music. The song "Humanoid Body Automation" he wrote for cutting-edge instrumental band Blotted Science, using Ron Jarzombek's signature 12-tone composing system. /bc
