/ CALIGARI RECORDS is proud to present the highly anticipated debut album of Germany's HALLUCINATE, From the Bowels of the Earth, on CD, vinyl LP, and cassette tape formats.
Formed in 2021 and featuring members of Graveyard Ghoul and Karloff, HALLUCINATE quickly set to work to work on their first public recording, the two-song Demo '22. Even at this early stage, HALLUCINATE's sound was already exhibiting a unique flair: despite working within the realms of death metal, something strange was brewing there. Not for nothing were the band monikered as such; flourishes of heavy, dark psychedelia and prog swirled about in their murky cauldron.
Now that cauldron is set to boil over with HALLUCINATE's full-length debut, From the Bowels of the Earth. As vocalist / lead guitarist Persecutor explains, "From the Bowels of the Earth sprung forth from a very tough psilocybin experience right before the onset of the pandemic. It almost broke me mentally; I wasn't prepared for it at all. I started writing the songs in an attempt to put myself back together, trying to integrate that experience. It was a very dark and intimidating display of ancient powerful archetypes haunting me with synchronistic, apocryphal, and soul-crushing revelations - not the funky-shmunky colorful hippie shit most people associate with this stuff. So a psych-stricken, kinda-prog death metal record felt most natural to tell the story, where each song represents a stage of the trip with its physiological, psychic and spiritual implications."
Indeed, just a cursory glance at the album's attendant song titles - and in particular, the triumvirate of "Blackened Gills," "Black Smokers," and "Mahavishnu's Dream" - will tell you this is NOT going to be a Normal Death Metal Record. Yet, just the same, HALLUCINATE's idiosyncratic muse is one that's thoroughly integrated into their aesthetic - as rough-hewn as true death metal should be, but subtly (and sometimes not-so-subtly) stirred with an alchemist's touch - rather than retrofitting mawkish elements in a shallow show of "weirdness." It all starts with strong songwriting, is pushed forward with loose & locked-in execution, and then is embellished with tasteful touches of said psychedelia and prog, either in the solar-flaring leads or in dramatic-yet-smooth breaks. Further, From the Bowels of the Earth sees HALLUCINATE moving at many speeds, instilling many sensations along the way - foremost among them, comfort in dissonance and nature mysticism by way of suspended release - but always with the rumbling crush of classic '90s death metal. Nods could be made to Sweden's Seance and Desultory in the past or Chapel of Disease and Gold Spire in the present, but perhaps no better recommendation could come than with a guest vocal appearance by Sweven's Robert Andersson (of course, also ex-Morbus Chron).
"Psychedelic experience" can take on many different meanings for many different people, but those who can trace a through-line from Dismember to Skullflower are wholeheartedly encouraged to enter HALLUCINATE's From the Bowels of the Earth. /bc

Вокалист и композитор Олег Авдеев, несколько лет пел в группе "Диктатор", но ушёл из состава. Его институтские друзья — клавишник Слава Фещенко и гитарист Эдик Покровский — загорелись идеей создания нового проекта. За барабаны посадили демонического персонажа Игоря Плотникова, он же "Банзай". Бас-гитару взял на себя Авдеев. Работа кипела, и через несколько месяцев музыканты были готовы к записи дебютного альбома. Деньги на запись, как могли, наскребли сами, при этом основную сумму внёс некто Сергей Гусок (личность тёмная, неизвестно откуда появившаяся, а потом неизвестно куда пропавшая). В итоге осенью 1993 года на студии "Мастер" был записан альбом "Абордажная команда". Вскоре новым басистом стал Дмитрий Яцко. В 1994 г. на смену "Банзаю" пришёл Евгений Токарев (затем игравший в группе «Коридор»). В 1995 году записывается "звёздный" альбом команды - "Ловите ведьму". Московская студия "RDM" выпускает его на СD. Большинство песен диска становятся хитами. В 1996 году новым барабанщиком стал Вячеслав Кожевников, ранее играл в группе "Бетховен". Зимой 2000 года жизнь группы замерла, и вплоть до конца 2002-го участники "парили в свободном полёте". Каждый занялся своим делом. Тяга к творчеству всё же взяла верх, и весной 2003 года группа собралась снова, правда с изменениями в составе. О. Авдеев, Э. Покровский и В. Фещенко составили костяк. В качестве барабанщика был приглашён Дмитрий Сердобинцев, прошедший суровую школу в группах "Сертификат", "Коллини", "Город Дит", "Чёрный Лукич", "Кататься Ночью". Вместе с ним из последней группы пришёл басист Данила Войтюк. На роль второго гитариста пригласили Андрея Глебова, который в последнее время занимался сольным творчеством. В ноябре 2003 г. увидел свет альбом - "Не ангел, не демон". Альбом получился весьма удачным. Постепенно был подготовлен материал для нового альбома, который получил название "Двери" и был выпущен в декабре 2005 года. На этом диске группа пришла к более жёсткому и плотному гитарному звуку в сочетании с мелодичными клавишными проигрышами. А в состав группы постепенно "влился" новый клавишник, пришедший на смену Вячеславу Фещенко, — музыкант из группы "Красный Берег" Павел Загорский. Отличный альбом получился, ранее их работы не попадались.

Да это простая конфета завернутая в красивую упаковку, просто лейблы решили подзаработать бабла, это сейчас модно, да и старые группы не создавая ничего нового скрещивают перерабатывают старый материал, создают то золотые то платиновые бокс сеты, я сборники не люблю, разве что не изданные ранее композиции, или старые демки, епишки. сборники я делаю сам для себя какие мне нравятся, потому как весь альбом нравится очень редко, Например альбом Пиромания мне там нравятся все композиции
