/ The first song is really an intro. Don’t be fooled by the keyboards and all the strange atmosphere; this doesn’t reflect anything how the band really sounds like. The music truly begins on the second track, Intensified Gore; it sounds like early Paradise Lost. Although, the music is quite heavy and it will ultimately want to make you headbang; you can hear the doom influence.
Sacrofire is a very underground band. I couldn’t find any information on them but the name of this album and the track listing. It’s quite sad for such a promising band because they most likely disbanded.
On one track, Deliverance of Horrific Prophecies, you can find some acoustic guitar work in the beginning of the song; it gives it plenty of atmosphere. Then get ready to bang your head off in the middle part of the song! This is a full on death metal attack with some insane growls that aren’t boring death growls. The riffs and guitar work is what makes this song great, as well as others!
If you like early Paradise Lost, My Dying Bride and very old Darkseed you might really appreciate this band. Although, they’re only six songs and the first song is practically an intro, this is still something head banging worthy.
The CD booklet doesn’t really have much about this band but the friends and family they thank. They do mention several bands that they “like” but it seems to be more of an influence. The standout tracks are all of them. There is not one bad song on this album. Give it a try and make sure you stretch out your neck because this might cause some neck injuries.
