/ The Healing Process are back with their second album, Theme and Variations, an attempt to a Thrash “opus”, a self-righteous concept album made of 9 pieces considered as variations on a theme that keeps recurring and links the songs to one another.
The Healing Process couldn’t settle for a conventional Thrash album, they really wanted to show off, they wanted to go out there and tell the audience: “See how good we are?” And if the audience answers: “No”, well… they hadn’t thought about that.
Anyway, this time, the band decided that they’d had enough with lyrics on inner turmoil and wanted to focus their efforts (mostly) on social and environmental themes: in their grandiose delusions they think they speak the truth and want to share it with their listeners.
But that’s not all, they claim they want to open people’s minds and say what everyone else is afraid of saying, perhaps even share the burden of the listeners’ most unspeakable thoughts, doubts, fears. THP is the shoulder every listener can cry on, but not literally, ‘cause of course thrashers don’t cry, unless drunk. Killerdemons — это альбом, который, с одной стороны, интересный, а с другой — местами неровный. Он показывает, что у Borrower есть потенциал как у проекта с разными жанрами. Но вот эмоций не хватает, и песни местами получаются не на высоте. Из-за этого альбом не выходит за рамки «среднего». Если вам нравится прогрессивный метал и концептуальные истории, стоит послушать Killerdemons, особенно если вы следите за развитием вселенной этого проекта.
Альбом Wicked Smile под названием «When Night Falls» вышел в 2026 году и получил кучу положительных отзывов. Крикины говорят, что это крутой и бодрый релиз в стиле старого доброго хэви-метала. Там есть всё: и мелодичность, и тяжесть, и драйв.
Этот альбом — как привет классике AOR, но не выглядит устаревшим. Private Affairs — отличная и уверенная работа, которая понравится как фанатам классического AOR и мелодичного рока 80-х, так и тем, кто ценит крутые современные версии жанра. Стив Эм показывает своё мастерство в аранжировке, вокале и стиле, и в итоге создаёт альбом, который переносит слушателя в золотую эру рок-музыки, оставаясь свежим и интересным.
